This amazing plant has a flower which looks like a Turk's Cap. It's scientific name is Malvaviscus arboreus. It is also called the Wax Mallow and the Sleepy Mallow. Pay attention to its tightly twisted, turban-like flowers of bright red. It is a native to the southeastern US, Mexico, and tropical America.
